Login screen

The label, heading, introduction and bullets beside the sign-in and register forms, per language, with the picture behind them and a drawing of the page before you save.

Branding -> Login screen in your admin sidebar.

The sign-in and register pages are the first thing a prospective trader sees of your firm. On a computer the form stands on the right, in the same frame your dashboard sits in, and on the left is a panel that is yours to write, with your logo, a short label, a heading, an introduction, up to five bullets and a picture behind it all. Text alone stops widening at 40rem on a wide screen, a picture takes half of it. On a phone, and in any window narrower than 1024 pixels, the page shows only your logo and the form.

The other pages a trader passes on the way in (forgot password, a new password, confirming an email address, confirming a password, two-factor and setting it up) carry the same panel and the same frame, so the whole way in looks like one product.

The form is on the left. On the right is a drawing of the page as it stands in the form, before you save: the sign-in or the register page, on a desktop or a phone, light or dark, in any of the platform's languages. It is built the way the real page builds it, so what you see there is what a visitor gets, including the dxFeed logo under the sign-in form when your firm has dxFeed data, which dxFeed's licence requires there.

Under the drawing, the screen lists everything that will not look the way you expect, one line each, and then says who sees the page. Clicking a warning takes you to the field that fixes it. A warning never stops a save. Somebody who may only look gets the same warnings as plain lines.

Who can change what

PermissionWhat it allows
view_brandingOpen the screen, read every setting and the drawing
manage_brandingChange and save everything on it

Without manage_branding the screen says so once, every field is shown but locked, there are no upload or add buttons, and there is no save bar.

Text

  • Label: a few words above the heading, in your colour, up to 40 characters.
  • Heading: the line a visitor reads first, up to 100 characters.
  • Introduction: one or two sentences under the heading, up to 300 characters.

Each field shows the platform's own text as its placeholder, which is what the page shows while the field is empty. That text speaks to prop firms rather than traders, so the screen warns while the heading, the label or the introduction is still the platform's.

Per language

The Language picker above the fields starts on All languages: the text you write there shows to every visitor, whatever language they picked. Choose a language to write a version for the visitors who read that one. The page then fills each field on its own: the version for their language where you wrote one, the text for all languages where you did not, and the platform's own text, in their language, where neither exists. A Dutch heading without a Dutch introduction shows the Dutch heading over the introduction for all languages.

In a language, every field shows what it falls back to as its placeholder, and the drawing switches to that language. The picker marks the languages you wrote your own text for, and the header counts them. A dot in your colour beside a language means it holds a change you have not saved yet, a red one that the last save failed on a field in it.

Bullets

Up to five short points under the introduction, each with an icon, a title of up to 50 characters and a description of up to 150. Add bullet adds one at the end. Move a bullet with the arrows beside it, with Alt and the arrow keys while you are in one of its fields, or from its menu on a right click, which also removes it.

A bullet needs both a title and a description. One with only one of the two is refused on save, and the screen flags it before you get that far. A row left completely empty is dropped when you save. While you have no bullets of your own, the page shows the platform's three, about running a prop firm. Show bullets switched off leaves the panel with only your text and keeps your bullets for later.

In a language you write each bullet's title and description in that language, over the text for all languages. Icons, order and which bullets exist are the same in every language and change under All languages. A translation stays with its bullet when you reorder them, and goes when you remove the bullet.

Picture

A picture behind the panel, under a dark layer so the text on it stays readable. Without one the panel stands on the colour of your dashboard's sidebar, with the label in your colour.

  • Picture: PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP or WebP, up to 5 MB, fitted to 1920 by 1080. Click the drop area or drop a file on it.
  • Focal point: once there is a picture, it is shown at its own proportions with a point on it. Click or drag to move the point, or use the arrow keys (Shift moves ten at a time). It decides what stays in view, because the panel crops the picture to half a screen. Use the middle puts it back.
  • Darkness: how dark the layer over the picture is, from 0 to 90 percent. The standard is 65. Lighter shows more of the picture and makes the text harder to read, and the screen warns below 40.

Over a picture the text is light in both modes, and the logo is the one for dark backgrounds.

The page shows the logos from Global. When one is missing the screen offers it here, and saves it into the same place, where you replace or remove it later.

  • Logo for light backgrounds: without it the page shows the Propper mark, in the panel and above the form on a phone. A logo for dark backgrounds alone does not change that, because the page shows that one only next to a logo for light backgrounds.
  • Logo for dark backgrounds: shown over the picture and in dark mode. Without it your logo for light backgrounds sits there.

Each takes a PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP or WebP of up to 2 MB, fitted to 800 by 800, and shows your mark on the page's background in that mode before you save.

Who sees this

The screen counts the sign-ins through the page in the last 30 days, how many of them were on a phone, which shows only the logo and the form, and the traders who registered in that time. A sign-in is a device a trader signed in on with a password or a passkey. A device that stayed signed in never saw the page, so it does not count. The counts need view_traders. Without it the lines say the same without a number.

Saving

Saving sends only what you changed, down to a single field or bullet in a language. A colleague who changed another field on this screen, or anything on another branding screen, while you had it open keeps what they saved. The bullets themselves go as one list when any of them changed, because their order belongs to them. Leaving with unsaved changes asks first, and Cmd or Ctrl+S saves. When a save fails on a field in another language, the screen opens that language and scrolls to the field.

Things worth knowing

A new picture starts over. Uploading a new picture puts the focal point back in the middle, because it belongs to the picture it was chosen on. The darkness stays.

Removing deletes the file. Removing the picture and saving deletes it from storage, and replacing it deletes the old one. Keep your own copy.

The colour is your brand colour. The page takes your primary for the mode it is shown in, from Global, the same as your dashboard. With none set it keeps the platform's neutral accent.

What you write reaches every design. The text per language, hidden bullets and the focal point show on the login page of every design. The darkness shows on the standard design and on Propper - OG. Tactical keeps its own faint picture under a gradient.

In the older designs

A firm on Propper - OG or Tactical keeps the screen it launched with: the label, heading and introduction, the bullets with their icons and the background picture in panels, with a preview of the login and the register page beside them. That screen writes one text for every language, has no way to hide the bullets, no focal point or darkness, no logo and no count of who sees the page. It keeps whatever was written here per language, and a bullet removed there takes its translations with it.
