Artificial Intelligence -> AI Settings in your admin sidebar.
The AI assistant answers your traders in a chat in their menu, answers your team in a chat in yours, can write the first answer to every new ticket, and helps your team write mail. Everything about it is set on this one screen.
The form is on the left. On the right is a drawing of the chat as it stands, which follows the form as you type: the name and picture, an answer in the tone you picked, the chat your team gets, and what a trader sees once they reached their questions for the day. Switch the drawing between light and dark above it. Under the drawing is a list of everything in the current setup that cannot work, one line each, worked out from the form as it stands, so a warning appears before you save and is gone once you fix it. A warning about a field takes you to that field when you click it.
Above the title you read whether the assistant is on, how much of this week's allowance is used, and when it comes back if it ran out. Try it opens the chat as your team gets it, so you can check a change right after saving it.
Who can change what
| Permission | What it allows |
|---|---|
view_ai_settings | Open the screen and read every setting |
manage_ai_settings | Change everything on it, except ticket answers |
manage_support_settings | Also switch ticket answers (view_support_settings to see them) |
view_activity_logs | See the recent changes at the bottom |
Somebody who may only read gets no save dock and every field disabled, with a line saying why.
Who it answers
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| AI assistant | The switch for the whole assistant. Off takes the chat out of both menus and the writing help out of mail. Everything else on the screen is kept for when it goes back on |
| Your traders | An AI chat in your traders' menu, under Support |
| Your team | An AI chat in your menu, and /ai in a ticket to have it draft a reply. Who on your team gets it is the Use AI chat permission of their role. The row says how many people may use it now |
| Ticket answers | Whether the assistant answers every new ticket first. This is Live support on Support: on is Assistant first, off is Team only |
| Questions per trader per day | How many answers one trader can get from the chat in a day of your timezone, from 1 to 500. Empty is no limit |
The AI assistant switch is the same switch as on Features, so throwing it on either screen is one and the same. When AI is not part of what Propper provides your firm, the switch is locked and says so, with a way to ask us. Everything else on the screen can still be set, so it is ready the moment we switch it on.
Ticket answers do not follow the AI assistant switch, they follow Live support. Switching them off hands every new ticket to your team. Switching them on while live support is off altogether opens live support again, and the screen says so before you save.
The daily limit per trader
Your allowance is shared by everything the assistant does. Without a limit, one trader who chats all day can spend the week your team and your tickets run on. With a limit, a trader who reached it reads that they can ask again tomorrow, and the chat refuses further questions until the day ends in your timezone.
Under the field you read how many questions the busiest trader asked on one day in the last 7 days, and once you type a limit, how many traders it would have stopped on at least one of those days.
A limit counts answers, after the fact
The count is the number of answers a trader received today. A trader who sends several questions within the same second just under the limit can get one or two answers past it. Your team is never limited, and neither are ticket answers.
How it introduces itself
The name and picture your traders and your team see above every answer. Left empty, the name is AI Assistant. The picture is a PNG, JPG or WebP of at most 2 MB, cut to a square. Without one the chat shows your logo.
How it talks
| Setting | Where it counts |
|---|---|
| Tone | Professional, Friendly, Casual or your own, with your traders and in ticket answers. With your team it is always direct and to the point |
| Instructions for traders | Rules it follows with your traders and in ticket answers, on top of the tone. With your own tone, describe the tone here too |
| Instructions for your team | Only for the chat your team uses: your own words for things, how you want figures reported, what to leave alone |
Both instructions take up to 2,000 characters. The tone, name and instructions for traders are the same ones Support edits, so a change on either screen reaches the other. With traders the assistant also answers from your FAQ, and the screen says how many questions it holds.
Model
| Model | What it is for | Allowance |
|---|---|---|
| Propper - Light | Quick answers to everyday questions | Spends it slowest |
| Propper - Medium | More care with longer questions and figures | 3 times as fast as Light |
| Propper - Ultra | The most thorough answers, for the hardest ones | 5 times as fast as Light |
Allowance
One allowance for the traders' chat, your team's chat, ticket answers, writing help in mail and reading trade screenshots in the journal (see Features). It has two windows: a session of a few hours, which comes back first, and a week. When either runs out, the assistant stops until it comes back, and the screen says when. Both are shown in messages rather than in anything technical. Under them you read where this week went per feature, and how many traders and team members used the assistant in the last 30 days. Ask for more opens your conversations with Propper, so you can ask for a larger allowance before it runs out.
Recent changes
For somebody who may read the activity log, the last changes to the assistant, wherever they were made: on this screen, on Features or on Support. Each opens its entry in the Activity log, and a right click copies its id or link.
In the older designs
A firm on Propper - OG or Tactical keeps the screen it launched with: four cards for the switches, the name, avatar, personality, instructions and model, and a column with the chat and the allowance. It has no instructions for your team, no daily limit per trader and no ticket answers switch, and still shows the risk automation settings, which nothing acts on yet.
