The clock a day of your firm runs on, the currency the platform prices and reports in, and the profit split of a funded phase that sets none.

Platform -> Defaults in your admin sidebar.

Three answers the platform falls back on wherever nothing more specific was said: the timezone your firm works in, the currency it prices and reports in, and the profit split a funded trader keeps when the challenge does not set one.

The form runs down the left, with under the clock and the currency what runs on them. The column beside it says what a change reaches and stays in view while you scroll. It is worked out from the form as you type, so you see what moves before you save: the time in the zone you picked, the currency you would end up in and what is sold in it, and which challenges pay the split. On a narrow screen each part of that column sits under its own setting. The line above the title says what is saved right now.

Who can change what

Somebody who may only read gets no save dock, every field disabled, and a line saying which permission changing them takes.

Clock

The timezone your firm works in, picked from a searchable list of every zone there is, grouped by part of the world. Search by city, by the zone's name or by its distance from UTC, such as UTC+2 or +05:30. Each zone shows its local time and its offset today, which moves with daylight saving. When your own browser runs in another zone than the one picked, a button sets yours in one click.

Beside it you see the time and the day there now, and when you pick another zone, how many hours earlier or later a day of your firm starts than it does today.

What runs on this clock:

  • The days and periods of your dashboard, Revenue, Affiliates and the Activity log.
  • When deals, coupons and events start and end, which you enter in this zone.
  • The days of your traders' journal and the greeting on their dashboard.
  • New calendars for your team.

A single moment, such as when a payment came in, still shows in the timezone of whoever looks at it.

Currency

Two choices:

ChoiceWhat happens
Follow your payment accountThe platform uses what your connected account pays out in, so prices and payouts never disagree
A currency of your ownFor a firm that prices in something other than what its account pays out in

A currency of your own can be any of 22: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, CAD, CHF and NZD, and the currency of every country a payment account can be opened in. The one your account pays out in, and the one you already had, always stay on the list.

What runs on this currency: the money chart on your dashboard, a sale or an account without a currency of its own, new challenges (which start priced in it), and affiliate CPA commissions, which are booked in it.

Beside it you see the currency in use and where it comes from (your own choice, or your account and the country it is registered in), and how many of your challenges on sale are priced in each currency. A trader always pays in the currency of the challenge they buy.

Under that, a line for everything about the choice that cannot work as the form stands:

  • While following, no payment account is connected, or it has not told us its currency yet, so the platform prices in USD until it does.
  • A challenge can only be priced in USD, EUR or GBP. With any other currency, a new challenge has to be moved to one of those three before it saves, and the dashboard's money chart counts only sales in your currency.
  • None of your challenges on sale is priced in the currency you picked.
  • Amounts you set in the old currency keep their number. Nothing is converted, so an affiliate CPA of 10 USD becomes 10 EUR, and a coupon with a fixed discount keeps its number too. The warning names which of yours this touches, as far as you may see them: the CPA with view_affiliate_settings, the coupons with view_coupons.

Profit split

The share of the profit a funded trader keeps when the funded phase of their challenge sets no split of its own. A split on the challenge always wins.

It has to be above 0 and at most 100, with at most two decimals, such as 82.5. A comma works as the decimal point. Before this rule a split of 0 could be saved, and payouts then paid 80 percent without saying so. A firm that still has a 0 or nothing saved sees 80 here, because that is what is paid.

Beside it you see which challenges pay this split right now (the first eight by name, with how many funded accounts trade on each, and a count of the rest), how many funded accounts trade on them in total, the range of splits the other challenges set themselves, and what a trader and your firm each get on a profit of 1,000 in your currency. The account counts need view_accounts.

Recent changes

For somebody with view_activity_logs, the last six changes to these three settings: what changed from what to what, who did it and when. Each opens its entry in the Activity log, which has the rest. Changes made by Propper staff are left out, as they are in the log itself.

Saving

One save dock at the bottom counts what you changed, one per setting. Save with the button or Cmd+S / Ctrl+S, or Discard to go back to what is saved. Only the settings you changed are sent, so a colleague who fixes the split at the same time does not undo the timezone you just set. Leaving the screen with unsaved changes asks first.

In the older designs

On Propper - OG and Tactical the screen keeps its earlier form: the same three settings without the column beside them, a timezone from a list of eighteen cities and a currency of your own from eight. A zone or currency picked here outside those lists stays saved and in use there, even though their list cannot show it. The split follows the same rule of above 0 and at most two decimals.
