Features

The optional parts of the platform, each with one switch, who uses it today, and what switching it off takes away.

Platform -> Features in your admin sidebar.

Six parts of the platform are optional: the trade journal, trading competitions, copy trading, items, the affiliate program and the AI assistant. Each has one switch. Off takes it out of your traders' menu and closes the pages behind it. Nothing anybody made is deleted, and it is all back when you switch it on again.

Four of them also have a screen of their own: copy trading, items, the affiliate program and the AI assistant. The switch here is the same switch as there, so throwing it on either screen is one and the same.

The screen

A rail down the left holds the overview on top and a row per feature. Each row ends in its state (On, Off, or Unavailable for an assistant your firm cannot switch on) and says on its second line who uses it today, so the rail alone says how your firm is set up. A dot marks a row you changed and did not save yet, or one that failed to save. J and K move through the rows, and a right click on a row opens it, throws its switch, opens its own screen or copies a link to it.

The address keeps the open row, such as ?feature=journal, so a link opens on one feature. On a narrow screen the rail and the open row take turns, with a link back.

Overview

Every switch at once, each with a way to its details. Beside them, what is waiting to be saved with everything it takes away, and a drawing of the menu a trader gets as the switches stand: an entry a switch hides shows as hidden, so you see what leaves the menu before you save. The drawing is for a trader who is not an affiliate, since the affiliate portal depends on the trader. Under it the recent changes to any switch.

A feature

Where your traders meet it, what it is, its switch, what it gives with it on and what it takes with it off. A button opens its own screen where it has one. Beside it, who uses it today, and a line for each thing you should know before you save: who loses it, money or prizes that wait, an assistant that answers nobody. Under it the recent changes to this switch.

The six

FeatureWith it onWith it off
Trade journalA journal of their own trades: a page per trade, a journal per day, a playbook and reports, also for trades made on other platformsJournal leaves their menu. Nothing they wrote is deleted. Trades that close meanwhile are not captured, and a trader can pull them in afterwards from the journal
Trading competitionsEvents to enter, a live leaderboard per event, and prizes your team awardsEvents leave their menu and yours. Leaderboards of running events keep being worked out, but your team cannot open an event to award its prizes until it is back on
Copy tradingTraders link their own accounts, within the rules on Copy tradingNo new trade is copied. Links stay, and a copy open now still closes with the trade it copied
ItemsA collection page, and what traders wear on their profile. See ItemsCollection leaves their menu and nobody sees what anybody wears. Nobody loses an item
Affiliate programApplying, the affiliate portal, and signups and purchases credited to the affiliate who brought them. See AffiliatesNothing new is credited and no commission is earned. Affiliates lose their portal, so they cannot ask for a payout. Your affiliate screens leave the menu except Affiliate program
AI assistantAn AI chat for your traders and for your team, and writing help in mailThe chat leaves both menus and the writing help leaves mail. Replies the assistant writes to tickets follow Support settings, not this switch

The assistant can only be switched on while it is part of what Propper provides your firm, and while Propper's AI is available. The screen says which of the two stops it. Switching it off always works. For the assistant you also choose who it answers, your traders, your team or both, which is the same choice as on AI Settings.

Screenshots in the journal

In the standard design a trader can journal trades made somewhere else: on MetaTrader, a crypto exchange or another firm. They add an account for that platform in the journal and type a closed trade in, or drop a screenshot of one trade or of a whole history page. The assistant reads it and fills in the form, marks the fields it was unsure of, and points out a trade that is already in the journal. Nothing is saved until the trader has checked it. The screenshot stays with the trade.

The journal's own row holds Reads per trader per day, from 0 to 200 and 10 unless you change it. A day is your firm's day, in your timezone. 0 switches reading off, and traders then type their trades in. Typing is never limited, and nobody on your team is limited either. A read that fails on Propper's side does not count.

Every read comes out of the same allowance as the assistant (see AI Settings), so it only works while the assistant can be used, and the row warns when it cannot. The limit counts as part of the journal's change in the save dock.

Who uses it

The figures beside each feature, as its own screen counts them. "Lately" means the last 30 days, and only traders count, not your team. The assistant is the exception, since switching it off takes your team's chat away as well.

FeatureFigures
Trade journalTraders who wrote in it lately, trades in journals, traders who have closed trades captured, trades from other platforms, and screenshots read lately
Trading competitionsEvents running, starting later, waiting for judging and in draft, and the traders entered
Copy tradingLinked pairs, traders with a link, trades copied lately, copies open now
ItemsItems in the catalogue, free ones, traders wearing one, and how many traders get it while it is on
Affiliate programActive affiliates, applications waiting, signups through a link lately, what is ready to be paid out per currency, and payout requests waiting
AI assistantTraders who used their chat lately, and team members who used theirs or the writing help in mail

Who can change what

PermissionWhat it allows
view_settingsOpen the screen, read every switch, the journal and copy trading figures, and the button to Copy trading
manage_settingsThrow the journal, competitions and copy trading switches, and set the screenshot reads per trader per day
manage_itemsTogether with manage_settings, also the items switch
manage_affiliate_settingsTogether with manage_settings, also the affiliate program switch
manage_ai_settingsTogether with manage_settings, also the assistant's switch and who it answers
view_events, view_items, view_affiliates, view_ai_settingsThe figures of that feature, and for view_ai_settings also who the assistant answers
view_events, view_items, view_affiliate_settings, view_ai_settingsThe button to that feature's own screen, for competitions only while they are on
view_affiliate_payoutsThe payout requests waiting
view_activity_logsThe recent changes, each a link to its entry

A switch you may not throw is drawn but disabled, with a line saying which permission it takes. Somebody who may only read gets no save dock.

Recent changes

For somebody with view_activity_logs, the last twelve times a switch moved, wherever it was thrown: here, on a feature's own screen, or on the older screens. A feature shows the last twelve times its own switch moved. Each opens its entry in the Activity log. Changes made by Propper staff are left out, as they are in the log itself.

Saving

One save dock at the bottom counts what you changed, one per feature, so switching the assistant on and choosing who it answers count as one change. Save with the button or Cmd+S / Ctrl+S, or Discard to go back to what is saved. Only the switches you changed are sent, so a colleague who switches another feature at the same time keeps what they set. Leaving the screen with unsaved changes asks first.

In the older designs

On Propper - OG and Tactical the screen keeps its earlier form: switches for the trade journal and trading competitions, and a list of the other four with the screen each is switched on from.
