Challenges in your admin sidebar is where you define what traders buy: the account size, the price, the phases they pass and the payout rules once they are funded.
You need the view_challenges permission to open the screen and
manage_challenges to create, change, duplicate, reorder or delete a challenge,
and to make, rename, reorder or delete a program. Somebody with only the first
sees everything, with the fields switched off and a line saying why.
The list
The screen opens on the list alone, across its whole width, and shows no challenge in full until you pick one.
The list is grouped the way your shop is. Each program is a heading with its description and the challenges under it in the order the pricing page shows them. After the programs come the challenges without a program, which the shop sorts after every program, and then the event entries, which are sold on their event page and not in the shop. A new program shows as an empty heading with a link to add its first challenge.
Each row is a challenge with its name, its size, its evaluation phases (or Instant funding when it starts funded), its price and the deal it is in, its live accounts against all it ever had, its purchase limit, when it was added and its state. The state is the first of these that applies: an event entry, off, priced at 0, without phases, or for sale. Most chosen is a star beside the name. Columns drop off from the right as the screen narrows, and the challenge always stays.
The head of the list counts the challenges for sale and the ones in a running or upcoming deal, and clicking either narrows the list to them. When something is worth a look, a third counter opens the pricing page with the list of what it found. When traders cannot check out at all, the head says why: the firm is not live yet, it has no payment account that can take payments, or nothing is for sale. Without a payment account the line opens Payments.
The search box finds a challenge by its name, its chl_ id, its program, the
event it belongs to, its size (50k works) or its currency. The filter menu
narrows the list to one program, the challenges without one or the event
entries, to what is or is not for sale, to a currency when you sell in more
than one, to challenges in a deal and to the ones marked Most chosen. The same
menu sorts by shop order, name, size, price, live accounts or newest, and so
does clicking the head of a column. The list holds fifty challenges to a page.
The command palette finds a challenge by its name, its chl_ id or its
program from anywhere in the admin panel, and opens it beside the list.
J and K move through the list and Enter opens the challenge they rest on. A right click on a row offers what can be done without opening it: duplicate it, move it up or down in its program, show it on the pricing page, open its accounts, start a trading rule for it, copy its name, id or link, and delete it. A right click on a program heading, or its menu, adds a challenge to it, narrows the list to it, shows it on the pricing page, renames it, moves it, or deletes it.
Programs
A program groups challenges the way traders choose them, such as 1-Step, 2-Step or Instant funding. New program asks for a name of up to 60 characters and a description of up to 160, and draws the tab a trader picks it from. Past 40 characters the name wraps on the pricing page, so the dialog says so.
A program can only be deleted once it holds nothing, event entries included. Its menu says what is still in it when it cannot.
Moving a program changes the order of the tabs on the pricing page. Moving a challenge changes its place among the sizes of its program.
A challenge
Picking a challenge folds the list to a column on the left and slides the challenge in beside it. The cross in the corner or Escape folds it away and gives the list its width back, with the same search, filters and page.
Every challenge has its own address, /admin/challenges/chl_..., and the tab
you have open is part of it.
The head names the challenge with its state, its program, size and phases, and marks Most chosen, the deal it is in, the event it belongs to and its purchase limit. The deal and the event link to their own screens for whoever may open them. Under it are its price, size, phases, live accounts and its place in the shop. Preview opens the pricing page on its program, and the menu duplicates, moves or deletes it.
| Tab | What it holds | Needs |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | The challenge itself, its phases, the rules across them and the trading rules that reach it, with a column beside them showing it as a trader sees it | |
| Accounts | Its accounts by status, how far traders get phase by phase with the pass rate, what it sold per currency, and the latest accounts on it. A count by status opens Trading accounts narrowed to this challenge and that status | view_accounts, and view_payments for the sales |
| Activity | Every change your team saved to it and its phases, with a link to the full log | view_activity_logs |
The setup
The setup tab is the editor, in four parts:
- Product: the program, name, description, account size, price and the currency of both (US dollars, euros or pounds). New program beside the program makes one without leaving the challenge and picks it.
- In the shop: whether it is live, whether it is Most chosen, how many times one trader may buy it, and whether the fee is shown as refundable.
- Phases: one tab per phase in the order a trader walks them, each with its targets and loss limits, drawdown type, trading days, restrictions, what is allowed, and for the funded phase the profit split and payout schedule. A tab with an error carries a red dot, and saving jumps to the first one.
- Rules across the challenge: when the daily loss resets, and the consistency rule with the phases it applies to.
Below them are the trading rules that reach the challenge, per phase. Clicking a phase leaves it out of a rule that covers more than this challenge, and that is saved with the challenge. A rule set for one challenge or phase is changed under Trading rules.
Beside the editor, or under it on a narrow screen, the challenge is drawn the way a trader sees it in the shop, and the phase you have open is turned into money for the account size you typed: a five percent daily loss reads as an amount. It flags what cannot work before you save, such as no funded phase, a daily loss at or above the total loss, a phase without a target, a price of 0 or a second Most chosen size in the program.
The bar at the bottom of the screen counts the changes and saves them together. Only what you changed is sent. It asks before you move to another challenge or tab, or close it, with changes unsaved, and Ctrl or Cmd and S saves.
What is saved but not yet enforced
Three settings are stored and shown to traders, but nothing in the platform acts on them yet. The editor says so next to each one.
- Refundable fee tells traders the fee comes back with the first payout. The platform does not refund it, so a refund is still yours to make.
- Expert advisors allowed or not is shown as a rule, but no order is checked against it.
- Daily loss resets at can be set per challenge, but the risk engine starts every account over at server midnight (UTC).
A new challenge
New challenge opens the same editor in the inspector, starting with one evaluation phase and a funded one under the program that fits that shape. Add challenge on a program starts it under that program. Duplicate fills the editor from an existing challenge, its phases and the trading rules it leaves out included, with "(copy)" after the name. Nothing is saved until you create it, and the new challenge opens once it is.
The pricing page
Preview in the head of the list opens the pricing page in the inspector, the page itself as a trader of your firm sees it before a discount of their own, in your colours and corners. Pick the program it opens on, or where a trader lands, switch between a phone and a desktop width, and between light and dark, since you set colours for each. It opens in the mode you are in and shows saved changes.
Above it is what is worth a look in your catalog: why traders cannot check out, when they cannot, a program with nothing for sale, more than one Most chosen size in a program, a challenge priced at 0, a program sold in currencies that never share a size, a name past 40 characters, and challenges without a program. Clicking one opens what it is about.
Deleting a challenge
Delete asks first, and says how many live accounts it has. It takes the challenge out of your catalog so nobody can buy it again. Accounts on it keep running and their history stays.
In the older designs
Propper - OG and Tactical keep their earlier overview of programs, with arrows to reorder, and a separate page to create or edit a challenge. In OG the pricing page sits beside the overview at phone width. The list with its search and filters, the Accounts and Activity tabs, duplicating a challenge and the pricing page at desktop width or in the other mode are only in the standard design.
